When in Mexico: Sequin Suit

Hola Mexico! This winter getaway to Puerto Vallarta for my sister’s 30th birthday was just what I needed. It had been too long since I was in a tropical place. I’m not going to lie, I was not familiar Puerto Vallarta before the trip; it doesn’t have the fame of Cancun or Cabo, but it was relaxing and not congested.

The highlight of our girls’ trip was a day on the water. This was baby’s first time on a yacht and all 10 of us had a blast and a photoshoot (of course). We docked at one point for paddle boarding (who knew it required so much arm strength), made a dance video, free-styled, had some yummy guac- safe to say we enjoyed ourselves. We were on the yacht all day and it was well worth it and it did it break the bank. It’s definitely something to look into for your next get-away if you haven’t done it. The view was breath-taking and we got to see whales up close.

About the look:

When it comes to swimsuits, I can’t bring myself to buy pricey ones. I scoured the ASOS sale and found this sequin top for and mix and matched this high-waisted bottom for $31. I haven’t seen a sequin swim suit and it made such a fun reflection. The look is also available in a one-piece style.

The sequin bottoms weren’t high-waisted and cut me a little weird so I paired the top with these Pretty Little Thing bottoms instead. This was my first time wearing such a high-cut suit. I tied this scarf on my head, in part for fashion, but more so to keep my tresses at bay. I found this gold chain necklace on eBay and topped the look with this cover up.
