And alas the Sunday of Summer is upon us-August… and it’s drawing to a quick close. But fortunately September is coming up and fall is always an inviting season of renewal. I’m working on transitioning summer staples into fall styles.

This duster is a great piece to throw over a bodycon as the temperatures cool. There’s a story behind this black and white one. I entered an Instagram contest and was so fortunate to be selected to win this cute one from Meow and Barks Boutique! Don’t sleep on social contests! I had quite a lucky streak, I also won a hair kit from Girl Under Hair Care in a Fashion Bomb Daily contest- and they posted lil ol’ me’s picture on their page! Talk about an honor …honestly,truly!

Embroidery and applique flowers are so in, I love how it pops against the black and white. This black bodycon is from ASOS and it’s $19! Excited to throw other light jackets and leather jackets over it to transition it fully.

The duster makes the outfit, but to top it off I added these pom pom sandals from Zara. I got them in January in the sale. I had my eye on them, I kept seeing bloggers wearing them. The style is so cute! If you had told me last year that pom poms on shoes would be a trend, I woulda been like “issa no,”- who would have imagined it’d be such a fun, but not overbearing look! Trying to think of a pompom DIY for the blog. Texture and embellishment all around is so in on every article.

I added this crystal choker, which is one of my favorites cause of the sparkle. Find it in my Etsy. Layered with my nameplate that I got for my bday, it made for a good finishing touch.

Bring on the fall, hoping this new season is love!
