Straw, bamboo, fringe, clear,woven, shaped,jeweled are just a few ways to describe the must-have bags of the season. Although summer is winding down, I’m still all about the season’s satchels. As we observed, the bamboo and straw bags took the summer by storm. Who would have thought bags originally from the East would become so mainstream.

I also love how the variations of these bags range from $20-$40 as opposed to the higher priced designer brand. This allowed for acquiring a collection. I love how bag styles are turning more towards more dimension and shape. Think the the half moon shape of the bamboo bag, the heart shape of this crossbody, the rounded handle of this clear bag.

Here are my FAV BAGS from the season:

My first bag of summer was none other than the bamboo bag. I found a good one on Amazon for $40. I can’t wait to get it in a bright color or acrylic. I cannot count the amount of complements that I got on it! because it is holed, I would keep smaller items in a pouch or add a purse insert inside.

The woven red heart bag was a Zara summer sale find. I love the richness of the red and the gold chain. It’s sold out.

My bag of July was this clear bag with the round handle. The style is so fun and has a retro vibe. It was $20.

I was inspired by all of the straw pom pom bags, so this one is a DIY and I’m added it to my Etsy. HERE. The post on how to make it will be up shortly. I also filmed it.

This black and pineapple one is in this lewk. Can you believe that I scored it on Amazon! It’s $20.99. My friend had a similar style that she got in Bali.

ABOUT THE LEWK:

I just found this off-the-shoulder mini crop on ASOS for $13 by Boohoo. It was a tad shorter than I was anticipating, but this is a happening style now-a-days. These dark jeans were a score in the TopShop sale. I can only bring myself to buy them on sale.

I topped it off with my fav orange tassels. Find them HERE in my shop. I also wore my DIY fringe sandals that I’m living in.

I’m loving these shorter Fulani braids! I had to mix it up because the style is so popular.
