SOS, Spring weather where ya at?
Here’s a look for the transition into Spring. This season captures with the blooming of flowers and thus an influx of color so I’m marking the occasion with pops of color.
It seems like living in NYC you can never have enough forms of outwear to cover the range of weather so you might as well add some color. This faux leather jacket is from Nasty Gal. – It seems like they constantly have sales going on.
A closet staple from season to season for me is a collared shirt because you can have multiple looks in one by twisting it different ways. Here I twisted the bottom ends to get a wrap look. I like how the flower trim down the middle is slanted.
Bershka is one of my favorite brands. I’m so glad it’s now carried at ASOS and there’s a shop in Soho. Think Zara-like pieces for a bit cheaper. I first discovered the brand studying abroad in Paris so I’m glad that it’s making a presence in the US. I found the top and these black pants at a Bershka in Puerto Vallarta for like $20 together. And because it’s all about mixing high end and low end, I topped it with these orange Jimmy Choos– which are oh so comfortable, (praises!)
Also to usher in the next season, I tried a new hairstyle and I’m loving these cornrow/box braids. I’ve been told braids are my best look. This style was so popular in the summer so I decided to wait a little bit before trying it. My hair grows out quite quickly so I’m curious to see how long it lasts.
