‘China through the looking glass’ was the theme of this year’s Costume Institute MET Gala, and the who’s who came decked in their interpretations of the theme for the big night of fashion.

At first when I saw Beyonce, I wasn’t sure if this Givenchy look was too much but then I realized it spoke Queen Bey’s persona  and it was reminiscent of her costumes on stage. She was serving sheer, body, jewels, and sass! This ‘I dream of Jeanie’ pony seems to work as well.

Rihanna came in this amazing yellow cape/ coat dress that reportedly took the designer, Guo Pei, two years to make. Oh to be a celeb fashion icon and to get to wear true works of art. The memes that followed were hilarious.

Kim also came sheer in Roberto Cavalli and it said the look was a tribute to Cher’s look from back in the day, but it was giving too much Bey from the 2012 gala.

JLo too came sheer and glowing in this Versace number. How is this woman 45! Amazing.

Kerry Washington was as cute as every in this pink, big bow back number. Fashion is best when it matches your personality.

Kris Jenner, who I’m puzzled got an invite, took the theme way too literally of course. No Ma’am. SJP did as well, but the one who brought Kerri Bradshaw to life, seems to do no wrong.

Solange has been serving stellar texture, accents, capes and ruffles recently. This night was no exception either. She came in this amazing  circular Giles piece. She is too cool.

So this photo was circulating and for some reason, word was Jason Derulo had this tragic fall down the stairs. This rumor was extremely odd as the singer was in LA and the person looks like a Michael Jackson impersonator! Leave it to Balleralert to do the investigating as always.
